A convenient way to straighten your smile
A lot of adults regret not having their teeth straightened as a child and end up suffering with their smile because they believe that they are too old to have treatment. This is not the case at all, as most straightening appliances can be worn by adults as well as children. However, if you have been reluctant to get treatment because you are worried about having to deal with unsightly braces or commit to several years of treatment, you can relax. Invisalign Weybridge gives you the option to have a completely discreet treatment, does not take as long as traditional treatment and the appliances used are entirely removable too.
3D imaging allows you to see your future smile on day one
Right at the start of this tooth straightening treatment you will attend a consultation appointment where a 3D digital scan of your teeth is taken. This scan will produce a series of further images that will show how your teeth move at each stage throughout the treatment, as well as showing you what your end result will look like, giving you something to look forward to. Whether you have gaps in your smile or an overlapping tooth, it is important that you are able to achieve the smile that you are striving for. Treatment time can vary depending on your individual circumstances, but some people will complete their treatment in as little as six months. More severe cases can take longer to rectify.
Clear, comfortable and removable
Instead of having to deal with unsightly, metal appliances you will be given a series of clear, plastic aligners to wear. These must be worn in a specific order as they are custom made to fit comfortably over your own teeth and will be gradually moving them into their new positions. They should not impact your ability to speak and are virtually invisible, making it more difficult to spot that you are undergoing treatment. The aligners are completely removable, making brushing your teeth and eating simple to do. It is important to brush your teeth twice a day to ensure that there is not a build-up of plaque forming underneath your aligners. Whilst you are able to take your aligners out it is highly recommended that you do not wear them for less than twenty-two hours a day, as this can impact the efficiency of your treatment. It is also important to make sure that each set of aligners is being worn for around two weeks each and you do not try and hurry your way through them, as this could result in your treatment taking longer or you may even need to start it from the beginning again.
Aftercare is vital when maintaining your new smile
Once you have worn your last set of aligners it will be time to unleash your new smile. It is vital that you take your dental professional’s advice when it comes to your aftercare to avoid undoing the results that your treatment has produced. In most cases a clear, plastic retainer will be issued and you will need to wear this at night for months or years after your treatment has ended to prevent your teeth from moving back into their original positions.
