Dry Your Hair Upside Down

When you’re a teenager, your hair is big, bouncy and full of life. As you get older, it can start to fall a bit flat, thin out and look much less impressive, but it doesn’t have to be that way. By using a small amount of mousse and blow-drying your hair upside down, you can give your hair an instant lift that will make you look younger, for a few pennies.

Cover Your Skin in Milk

If Botox injections are out of your budget range, but you want your skin to look as fresh, young and flawless as possible, head to the fridge. Soaking a clean facecloth in milk and then placing it on your face for 10-15 minutes will sooth redness and irritation and leave your skin softer and more radiant than ever. This works because milk is packed with vitamins fats and amino acids that are great at tackling redness and inflammation.

Eat Your Fruits and Veggies

Eating fruits and vegetables can really make your skin glow, prevent wrinkles and generally keep the ageing process at bay. Foods like avocados, blueberries, and spinach are particularly good at preventing the tell-tale signs of ageing, but eating a diet rich in fruits and veggies and low in refined junk food overall is what will keep you looking young and beautiful on a budget. If you grow your own, after a while your veggies will cost you barely anything at all, so it doesn’t get more cost-effective than that.

Conceal

If you do start to see signs of wrinkles, brown spots and dull skin, you don’t have to panic. A good concealer, which is a shade or two lighter than your foundation will cover up blemishes and give you your youthful appearance back in an instant.

Use a Cream Foundation

Switching your usual foundation for a light, creamier one will give your skin a beautiful, natural-looking sheen, which is characteristic of young skin, and since there are great cream foundations to suit every budget, it is a very affordable way to look younger.

Plump Up Your Lips

As we get older, our lips tend to get thinner, but there are things that can be done about this particular problem. Firstly, try to use a shade of lipstick that is as close to your natural lip colour when you were a teenager. Second, line the outer edge of your mouth with a pencil liner that is the same shade as your lipstick. This will make them look a bit bigger without drifting into trout pout territory.

Brush with Baking Soda

One of the most common giveaways that we are getting older is the discolouration of our teeth. To remedy this, buy a baking soda-based toothpaste or mix your own with baking soda, water, and essential oils. This will help to lift stains and brighten your teeth.
